SOLD Herald Cowboys Counter Display Box

Herald 72-piece Counter Display Box H.7600 Cowboys Dismounted, in assorted positions – an extremely rare counter display box, dating from between 1960 and 1961, now containing 39 of 72 dismounted Herald cowboys in four assorted positions – all the figures are mint or near mint old shop stock and are of the reduced paint variety (introduced by Britains in 1960), with the Herald trumpeter and ‘Made in England’ trademark on the underside of the base – the box is Good, with tears to the box corners, but still retaining the original separate card price tag of ‘9d’ and complete with the original complaints slip! superb example of Herald’s box art – Provenance: this is one of the rarest items from the PETER COLE Archive Collection and was featured on P42 of Peter’s book: “Herald Miniatures Civilian Models – The Golden Years 1953-1961”.
