Herald Series of Model Toy Soldiers, Produced by M.Zang – Full set of Horse Guards (early Royal Blue Tunics), comprising: HG1 Mounted Standard Bearer (white horse missing tail), HG2 Mounted Trumpeter (black horse missing tails), HG3 Mounted with Sword (black horse, rider missing metal scabbard) – all unmarked 1st type cellulose acetate Horses, moulded in two parts – HG4 Dismounted Standard Bearer, HG5 Dismounted Trumpeter and HG6 Dismounted with sword – figures are in Fair to Good used condition with some wear and paint loss (note: 2 horses missing tails, one rider missing scabbard) – includes extra mounted rider for HG3 – date to circa June 1953 – Provenance: from the SPALDING collection of plastic toy soldiers [10 pieces]
